The Department of Botany 

One of the prestigious department of the college, The Department of Botany, initially only provided a complimentary course. The department launched an Integrated Botany program in 2020, course called "Integrated M.Sc. Botany with Computational Biology", to stay up with the developments of several fields of biological research. The curriculum includes computational biology as an additional subject, which is different from the traditional botany courses.

The department's mission is to provide fundamental understanding of the natural world, particularly as it relates to plant life. Computational biology focuses on applying mathematical and computational techniques to solve biological and biomedical challenges. They are acknowledged as crucial components in contemporary biological and medicinal research.

The department has a team of faculty members, whose sincere and devoted efforts encourage moulding the personality of the students and the overall development of the department. Three of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. The department possess a well equipped lab, herbarium collections and a botanical garden.
