The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.The college has a unit of NCC Army Wing with enrolment strength 54.Enrolment is opened to boys and girls .The unit is under 29 K Batallion,Calicut University

Aims Of NCC

  1. To Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country.
  2. To Create a Human Resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all Walks of life and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation.
  3. To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.

Motto of NCC

“UNITY AND DISCIPLINE” (Ektaaur Anushasan)

The need for having motto for the Corps was discussed in the 11th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11 Aug 1978.  The final  decision for selection of “Unity and Discipline” as motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.

SWACHHATA HI SEVA (GARBAGE FREE INDIA) 



 

In 2nd October Gandhi Jayanti (Mahatma Gandhi's birthday). 'Swachhata hi Seva' is an initiative of the

Swachh Bharat Mission aims to generate great

public participation, reinforce the concept of

'Sanitation as everyone's business' and

Mahatma Gandhi 150th birth year celebration

with a nationwide campaign.

 

Ncc cadets with help of nss, they were conducted to clean out college compound and outside too. They joined into different team and cleaned every place of college compounds and outside too. They cleaned the whole places the field, playground, backwards, gardens, back of college and roads to. They cleaned our society to flourish our place. 

 

It is important to clean your place. Because to prevent infections, dengue and maleria. Ever since Indian was freed from slavery Gandhi has conduct to clean India and make it Garbage free Country. This project was conducted by NCC MES KEVEEYAM College Valanchery  under the watch Lt. Najiya K V.

Yoga day was celebrated on June 21st organized by Department of Physical Education in association with IQAC,NSS&NCC . The program was conducted at the auditorium of MES Keveeyam college ,Valanchery . The program was inaugurated by the honorable principal of our college Dr. Vinod Kumar K P . There was a interesting class section based on Yoga and  yoga practices was done by the resource person Yoga trainer ,District Yoga Association Thrissur Rahul PR . It gives a clear idea about yoga . Yoga practices makes journey through the self . This program was done under the control of Prof. Dinil S .

Puneet Sagar Abhiyan

 National Cadet Corps (NCC) has initiated a nationwide flagship campaign ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyan’ to clean seashores/beaches and other waterbodies, including rivers and lakes of plastic & other waste material. The initial phase of the ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyan 2022’ is being conducted in a grand manner between April 01-05, 2022. More than 1.5 lakh cadets from all 17 State Directorates of the NCC are participating in various activities, five of our cadets also participated in the Cyclothon from Tirur, Stadium to Calicut Beach.

Annual day celebration and break up social of this academic year was on 30/03/3022.Cadet Sneha welcomed the gathering .Dr.C Rajesh  inaugurated the function. Dr.Najila T Y(IQAC  coordinator),Dr.Santhosh Babu PC(Staff Secretary) facilitated the programme  A memento given to Hav.Manish K V as token of love and appreciation. Principal and other faculties distributed the trophies and medals to the cadets for their best performance in various competitions. Lt Najiya K V  (ANO) concluded the programme and highlighted the achievements an activities conducted during last year. Cadets performed various cultural programmes.

Medical Aid for Jishnudas

L/CPL Jishnudas, Third year cadet met with an accident on 19/March/2022 while coming back from Calicut after the C  practical examination, and admitted to Al Mas Hospital Kottakkal, Total bill amount for medical treatment was 96000,College management had given 30000 and total of 54942 collected from 29(K) Bn office and concerned institutions, the amount handed over to him on 16/04/2022

 

73rd Republic Day

The 73rd  Republic Day of India was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervour at MES KEVEEYAM College Valanchery on 26th January, 2022. The ceremony took place in the presence of Dr C Rajesh (Principal),Lt.Najiya K V(ANO) Shajid PP and Dr.Preetha SR(NSS Programmme officers ) ,faculties , staff members and students.

The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Dr C Rajesh.. The programme moved forward with an incredible display of parade by the National Cadet Corps(NCC) cadets. 

Dr.C Rajesh addressed the gathering and conveyed the importance of conduction of social service activities by NCC cadets and NSS volunteers  .The hour long ceremony culminated with the distributiob of sweets .Online Quiz Competition  and Patriotic song competition also  conducted.

NCC cadets performed independence day parade under the supervision of U/O Thajudheen , after that   Principal of the College Dr C Rajesh hoisted the national flag and addressed the crowd.
