The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.The college has a unit of NCC Army Wing with enrolment strength 54.Enrolment is opened to boys and girls .The unit is under 29 K Batallion,Calicut University

Aims Of NCC

  1. To Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country.
  2. To Create a Human Resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all Walks of life and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation.
  3. To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.

Motto of NCC

“UNITY AND DISCIPLINE” (Ektaaur Anushasan)

The need for having motto for the Corps was discussed in the 11th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11 Aug 1978.  The final  decision for selection of “Unity and Discipline” as motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.

NCC Enrollment-2021

NCC  Enrollment for the 2021 conducted on 18/11/2021.Total 50 students from various departments participated in the selection process. Under the super vision of  Lt Najiya K V.The staff from 29 K Bn Thechipalam Nb/Sub Mahesh Chandra,CHM mineesh C A and Hav Deepak Singh selected 21 students based on physique and  the performance in physical  activities like Running,Push up and sit up

Primary Health Center Cleaning on Gandhi Jayanthi

Paying homage to one of Mahatma Gandhi’s  favourite tenets-‘Cleanliness is next to godliness‘, A mass cleaning drive was conducted by NCC unit of MES KEVEEYAM College on 03/10/2021 at PHC Valanchery.

The function was presided  by the principal Dr C. Rajesh and inaugurated by Dr.Fathima,medical Officer PHC Valanchery ,22 NCC cadets with ANO Lt. Najiya KV participated in the drive .The team cleaned total three blocks (each block more than 10000 sq.ft)of hospital and  the surroundings

MES KEVEEYAM  College staff and students celebrated Independence Day with pride, joy and serenity. NCC cadets performed independence day parade under the supervision of U/O Thajudheen , after that   Principal of the College Dr C Rajesh hoisted the national flag and addressed the crowd. NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, teachers and non teaching staff of the college saluted the national flag and honoured the memories of the martyrs who achieved us the freedom. Online Quiz Competition  and Patriotic song competition also  conducted,cash prizes distributed to the winners

Our college celebrated India’s 72th Republic Day with great eclat. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The programme began at 8.30am. .

The principal hoisted the National flag, NCC cadets take part in republic day parade the students rts saluted the National flag and pledged to up hold the honour and integrity.

Distribution of Mask and Sanitizer

As a part of national level social activities conducting by NCC ,NCC Calicut group ,29 Kerala Battalion and MES KEVEEYAM college Valanchery jointly distributed mask and sanitizers.The meterials were distributed to public health care centres such as as PHC Sub centre and Ayush PHC homeopathy Kottaram Valanchery.

The function was inaugurated by principal Dr. C Rajesh.The head of public health centre Dr.Salwa ,Nurse Anitha OA(PHC Kottaram),Dr.Harisha(Ayush Homeopathy Kottaram),NCC care taker Prof.Najiya KV,Dr.Najila T Y,Dr.Santhosh Babu,Under Officer Abdul Khader,NCC cadets also attended the function.

Closing Function

Annual day celebration and break up social of this academic year was on 28-02-2019. Col.RR Kotwal,Commanding Officer,29 Kerala Bn NCC Tenhipalam ,Malappuram inaugurated the function  and he distributed the trophies and medals to the cadets for their best performance in various competitions.
