National Innovation and Startup Policy

The National Innovation and Start-up Policy 2019 for students and faculty in higher education institutes was launched by Honorable Minister of Education on 11th September 2019. NISP intends to guide higher education institutes for promoting students’ driven innovations & start-ups and to engage the students and faculty in innovation and start up activities in campus. The policy aims at enabling higher education institutes to build, streamline and strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in campus and will be instrumental in leveraging the potential of student’s innovative and entrepreneurial mind-set, and promoting strong collaborations with ecosystem enablers and different stakeholders at regional, national and international level.

Institutional Innovation and Entrepreneurship Policy

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Policy for students and faculty members of MES Keveeyam College, Valanchery, will enable the institute to actively engage students and faculty members in innovation and entrepreneurship related activities. This document elaborates innovation pipeline and pathways for entrepreneurs at institute level, pedagogy and learning interventions for entrepreneurship development collaboration. This framework will motivate the students to opt entrepreneurship as a carrier option. This policy is aligned with National Innovation and Start-up policy-2019 and other policy documents of state and central government. Responsibility for implementing NISP in the institution has been fixed on the joint team of IIC, EDC, IEDC, YIP, IPR Cell and management committees.
